What Control Measures Are In Place
Following Consultation, the Client should be directed to the Backwash area maintaining Social Distancing whilst being shampooed. Upon confirming their appointment, the Client should be advised that; The Client must adhere to appointment times to reduce unsafe congestion in the salon; The Client should arrive for their appointment alone to reduce unsafe congestion in the Salon; The Client should leave excess personal belongings at home or in their car to reduce possible transmission; If deemed safe to do so, refreshments will be available during the appointment, however, may be limited. The Client is welcome to bring refreshments in a safe and secure container; Clients to be advised if only Card payments are accepted (if applicable).

What Control Measures Are In Place
STOP THE SPREAD signage to be displayed throughout the Salon to advise Staff & Clients to maintain social distancing within the Salon environment. SANITATION AREA signage to be displayed alerting Staff & Clients that they must hand sanitise as they enter the salon. PPE to be available for Clients to collect to prevent airborne spread. Staff starting their shift should enter the Salon, wash hands then set up work station.

DEAR CLIENTS Health & Safety signage to be displayed within the Reception/Waiting Area to ensure Clients are aware we are committed to protecting them within the Salon environment. Sneeze guard screens to be fitted to the Reception desk to protect both Staff & Clients. The Client should approach the Reception desk ensuring a safe distance as outlined by floor markings. The Client should be advised that magazines are unable to be provided to reduce possible transmission. Prior to greeting Clients, Staff should ensure hands are sanitised and full PPE is worn.

Staff may remove gloves once the Clients hair has been thoroughly washed. The Client can then be directed back to the section area, ready to start their Service. Social Distancing must be adhered to at all times.

KEEPING YOU SAFE signage to be displayed on Section Mirrors informing Clients of additional safety measures in place. Adequate ventilation is in place and is to be switched on during salon activities. Social distancing should be adhered to at all times.

Staff to continually wipe down all workstations using disinfectant in between Clients. Each Staff member to have their own sterilising kit visible to Clients on their section to sterilise hairdressing tools between Clients. Staff must ensure that new PPE is used on each Client. Capes, Gloves & Aprons should be disposed of and Towels & Gowns should be washed after each single use. Staff to ensure that waste bins containing disposed PPE is emptied & disposed of correctly on a regular basis.

The Client should approach the Reception desk ensuring a safe distance as outlined by floor markings. Sneeze guard screens to be fitted to the Reception desk to protect both Staff & Clients. Front of House Staff will submit the bill then step back from the desk while the Client steps forward to make payment. The Client should step back behind the outlined floor marking whilst Front of House Staff complete the transaction and rebook appointment. Staff to continually wipe down smooth surfaces including doors and door handles using disinfectant in between Clients.

Usage to be restricted to one person at a time. Staff to ensure regular scheduled cleaning of facilities which is to be documented, ensuring toilet paper, hand towels and hand wash is readily available. Staff to ensure waste paper bin is emptied regularly & contents disposed of correctly. Staff to continually wipe down smooth surfaces including doors door handles, toilet flush and tap using disinfectant in between Clients.

Staff must take breaks individually where possible. STOP THE SPREAD signage to be displayed to advise Social Distancing must be adhered to during this time. Staff to ensure that crockery (cups, plates & cutlery) is not shared. Staff to adopt good housekeeping and ensure all surfaces are wiped down after each use using disinfectant. Staff should be advised to leave excess personal belongings at home to reduce possible transmission. All belongings to be stored away safely. Staff returning from their break should ensure hands are sanitised and full PPE is worn.
